Well it's only 11 days away!!
Yesterday went to Costco and got some protein bars, edamame & nuts, and beef jerky to take with me. I've been told to bring stuff like that as it will help in-between meals. I bought the 2 Histotechs a 30 pack of chocolate bars--I was told they love chocolate!!
Today was Travel Clinic day. Went to Baystate and got 3 shots in the left arm and 2 in the right!! Thank goodness Mary Jo was awesome with them. I built up an anticipation that they were going to kill and it just wasn't bad....
In case you ever go to Africa, the shots you need are Hepatitis A, polio, Tetanus with whooping cough, yellow fever and typhoid. Thankfully I already have Hepatitis B immunity,from working in a hospital, or that would have been #6!!
I also got a prescription for malaria and just in case it gets bad....Cipro.
When I picked them up at the pharmacy, I got Pepto-Bismol and some Imodium as was recommended!! The pharmacist looked at me and said "going some where??" Yup!!
So my corner in the bedroom is starting to fill up with stuff!! Soon that stuff will be packed and I will be off.....it's coming fast
