Back to Butaro and my house...

This morning I got up an took a nice hot shower and then went to breakfast. I had the ham(?) and cheese omelet again. I think I am now addicted to Akabunga!!! Hot but good!!! Later on I sat out on the covered dining area and had some coffee and read my book. It is so peaceful and serene here. The view of the volcanoes makes me remember what an experience I had yesterday with the gorillas!!!
When it is time to go, Emmanuel and his wife, Jacky, are going to drive me back. First he would like to go to to a new place called Red Rocks. It is a camping area, community gardening and art center. We are shown around by Greg and another guy( nope don't remember his name!)  I am shown how they make banana beer, the gardens, and the general area.
Emmanuel takes me to the bus station where the people crowd into these small buses(more like mini vans) that take them to Kigali and other towns that are too far to walk to. There are people everywhere!! Jacky happens to see her friend Domenique and she is going to join us for the ride home to Butaro.
As we drive back I am taking pictures all along the way. When we drive by the children in the roads and in the little town centers, all I hear Umuzungu !!! I've told Emmanuel that when I get home I am changing my name to Umuzungu Viens!!! I think it has a great ring to it!!!
Emmanuel is gracious enough to stop at various spots along the way for me to take pictures and for him to take pictures of me with the scenery. He likes my camera and is enjoying using it!! One problem when you travel by yourself.....you are never in the photos!!!
I am finally back at PIH house. I quickly upload 1 picture from my gorilla trek onto Facebook and publish my two days of blog.....sorry some of you had to wait to read about my days!!!
Heading back to my house, my little friends come to greet me. I have nothing to offer and they look sad!!! Don't worry kids,I go back to work tomorrow!!
I can't believe that one week has passed and I am in the final week for being here. Time does fly!!
I callled Bill and he tells me Facebook is lit up with likes and comments on my photo!!! I knew that picture would grab some attention!!! When I get home(to Feeding Hills) I will upload some more of the babies, juveniles, mothers and silver-backs. I only have about 500-600 to choose from!!
I have just come back from having dinner with Gaspard & Vincent(?), shit ....forgot his name!!! We had goat kabobs and some Mutzig beers!!! I have to say I'm loving that goat!!! Except tonight there was one outside making his noise and it kinda made me a little weird to be hearing him and eating his friend!!! Oh we'll.....
It has been a memorable and fun weekend....
Off to bed...
Thanks for following...
Love to all!!!
